The Electric Energy Society of Australia (EESA) is calling for nominations for its National Council. All financial members of EESA are eligible to nominate for vacant National Council positions in 2018.
This year, EESA has introduced electronic voting for the election of its National Council. Now, members can vote for councillors, without needing to be present at the AGM, as was the case in previous years.
Nominations will open from 1-29 October 2018, and voting will open from 5-19 November 2018. When it’s time to vote, you’ll receive an email with the voting form. Candidate profiles will be listed online for your perusal to aid you in making your vote. Election results will be announced on 26 November 2018. Please read on to find out how to nominate.
Any financial EESA member can nominate and be elected as a member to the EESA National Council. Note, if you are seeking the position of President, Vice President, or Honorary Treasurer, you must also be a member of Engineers Australia.
The National Council governs the EESA and has the overall responsibility for setting the strategic direction of the organisation. It is also responsible for the financial viability of EESA.
More information on eligibility, nomination and councillor responsibilities is available in the election guideline. For enquires relating to the nominations process, please contact EESA Returning Officer, Penelope Lyons, at email@example.com.
