EECON2021 - THE NEW ENERGY LANDSCAPE – CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES
CALL FOR ENTRIES
The WA Chapter of the Electric Energy Society of Australia is calling for entries for the EECON2021 National Poster Project Competition for the 2021 Next Generation Technology Project Showcase & Awards, as part of EECON2021. There are two prize categories: Undergraduate (Bachelor Degree) and Postgraduate (Master’s Degree and PhD). Two major sponsors will be awarding prizes; The Australian Power Institute (API) will award the API Delegates Choice Award as well as API Scholarships. Western Power Corporation will award the WPC People’s Choice Award.
WE ARE SEEKING ENTRIES FROM STUDENTS OF THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS:
- Electrical Power Engineering
- Electronic Engineering
- Renewable Energy Engineering
PRIZES AND AWARDS
API will award two $200 prizes for the API Delegates Choice Award for best student poster.
API will also award 20 API scholarships to undergraduate Poster Paper Competition participants who have registered and submitted their poster. The scholarship will include free registration for ECON2021 conference (online only).
Western Power will present the WPC People’s Choice Award, valued at $300.
Prizes awarded in two categories UNDERGRADUATE and POSTGRADUATE - Prizes awarded below per category
- 1st place: $300
- 2nd place: $200
- 3rd place: $100
- STUDENT ENTRIES CLOSE: Fri 29 Oct
- POSTER SUBMISSIONS DUE: Fri 12 Nov
- DELEGATE REGISTRATIONS CLOSE: Wed 17 Nov
HOW TO ENTER
Click here to Register for this event or by emailing your respective university contact or EESA co-ordinator by Friday 29 October 2021. Include details of your university, thesis supervisor, poster title and abstract.
The EECON Poster Paper committee will confirm your acceptance into the competition if your project meets the scope of competition (being focused on electric energy).
Completed poster submissions are due by Friday 12 November 2021. You need to submit your poster along with a 5 to 6-minute YouTube video describing your poster.
Your poster should:
- Cover the key points of your project.
- Stand out.
- Provide a brief overview of your work (aims, objectives, method & results).
- Initiate discussion & questions.
- Size: A1.
- Create using PowerPoint.
- Printing will be provided.
