Last year on 11 October 2021 South Australia became the first major power system in the world to operate on 100% solar energy. The majority of this energy was generated on rooftops and shared through the State’s distribution network. Learn how SA Power Networks is responding to the challenges and opportunities presented by the world’s highest penetration of distributed solar PV. Innovative solutions are under development to manage the power network in a manner that was not previously envisaged.
